Physical Therapy is responsible for the restoration of function after a person suffers from an injury or has undergone a surgical procedure. Treatments include the use of specialized equipment, customized exercise programs or patient oriented education. Typically, recovery time is faster and more successful when a physical therapy routine is followed.
Upon diagnosis, your physician may refer you to the Shawnee Medical Center Clinic's physical therapy department. The physical therapy department offers a wide variety of services and state-of-the-art equipment to those recovering from tears, pulls, dislocations or other injuries.
