	  <title><![CDATA[SMCC Welcomes Thomas M. Dye, M.D. , Orthopedic Surgeon]]></title>

	  <description><![CDATA[<p><img style="float: right;" src="/sites/smcc/uploads/images/medium/Thomas_M._Dye_M.D.__casual.jpg" alt="" width="191" height="255" />Colonel Thomas M. Dye recently retired as Commander, 60th Surgical 
Operations Squadron, 60th Medical Group, Travis Air Force Base, CA.&nbsp;
</p>
<p>Dr.
 Dye entered the United States Air Force as a distinguished graduate 
from Officer Training School in 1983 after obtaining his undergraduate 
BS in Biology from the University of South Alabama.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Colonel Dye 
was honorably discharged from the USAF in August, 1990.&nbsp; He Attended the
 University of South Alabama College of Medicine, where he accepted an 
Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship.&nbsp; He re-entered the Air 
Force as a Captain and physician after graduating in 1994 with his 
Medical Degree.&nbsp; He completed his first year of residency in General 
Surgery at the combined Wright State University/Wright Patterson AFB, 
Ohio residency in 1995, and spent one year as a flight surgeon in the 
74th Medical Group.&nbsp; </p>
<p>He became the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Travis AFB in 2006, and took command of the 60<sup>th</sup> Surgical Operations Squadron in June of 2008.</p>
<p>Colonel
 Dye is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is
 Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.&nbsp; </p>
<p>Colonel
 Dye has been married to his wife, Dina for 26 years. They now reside in
 the Shawnee area and have one daughter Chelsea who is a junior at New 
College of Florida.</p>
<h3>Dr. Dye will begin seeing patients on Monday, February&nbsp;8th, 2010&nbsp;</h3>
