Lauren first began her nursing career in 1995 as a triage nurse for Central Oklahoma Medical Group.  In 1998 she moved to Norman Regional Hospital where she worked mainly in the intensive care unit.  In 20007 Lauren was hired as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Broken Arrow Family clinic where she saw patients of all ages, but specialized in children and women’s care.  In 2009 she moved to Oklahoma City where she was employed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner by Integris Baptist Medical Center in the Nazi Zuhdi Kidney transplant unit.  During this time she also has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Rose State College.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma, and then received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Oklahoma where she was also recognized by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.  She is a current member of the Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners Association and the American Academy Association of Nurse Practitioners.

She is married to Dr. Bret Wood, graduate of Meeker H.S. class of 1986 and has 4 children; Morgan Davie, Ryan Davie, Keeli Wood and Connor Wood   Currently her family is building a home East of Meeker and she is very excited to become a part of the Meeker Bulldog Community.
